After hearing the news of my Friend dying from raw Cancer I became, as any normal person would, very sad. I cried for days feeling terrible. I feel worse for not talking to him in 3 years, I wish I'd been there with him, or even talked to him. Or even gone to his funeral but I was on vaca. and it wasn't until a week later Aug. 27 that I heard the news, and I hate that I didn't go.
But you know What the worst part of it was! The fact that EVERYBODY went along their normal day, functioning like they always do, which was odd to me. As I was not doing any of that sort of stuff. I just wished the world (or just the people around me) would stop for one fucking second. Just one second! I'm not asking people to pray or some other bullshit like that, just take a step back for a brief moment. Especially when your going through a tough time and people are just oblivious. You feel like they should feel the same way you feel and know what's going on. When in reality they don't cause they don't know you or just don't know in general what's going on. It's a sucky feeling.
This is why I wrote this poem.

It's great that you got out your emotion with these words and at first i actually thought this was intended as something quite different.
